Sasha Vinci's 'The Multinatural Shape Of Tomorrow' Opens in New York

exhibition · 2026-05-04

Sasha Vinci (Modica, 1980) presents his first New York solo exhibition, 'The Multinatural Shape Of Tomorrow,' curated by Sarahcrown and Diego Mantoan. The show is staged at The Yard in Manhattan's Columbus Circle, part of the Art in Lobbies program that places socially and anthropologically themed exhibitions in entrepreneurial offices. Vinci's practice consistently advocates for environmental sustainability and planetary respect, exemplified by his earlier performance 'La grande sete' with Maria Grazia Galesi in Palermo. For this exhibition, he created new works using oil, pigments, inks, acrylics, enamels, pastels, and graphite to build iconographies of strong colors and decisive marks. The artist imagines a responsible humanity through a 'multinaturalism' that counters Anthropocene devastation. Curators describe the dreamlike, surreal visions of non-human or post-human beings as mirrors fostering new relationships between entities. The exhibition runs until January 12, 2020, at The Yard, 33 W 60th Street, supported by aA29 Project Room.
