Sarquella Torres Architects Wins ARQUIN-FAD 2019 for Thailand Kindergarten

Founded in 2019 by Pau Sarquella and Carmen Torres in Banyoles, Sarquella Torres Architects was honored with the ARQUIN-FAD 2019 International Prize, receiving both a jury mention and the opinion award for their 2018 Bang Nong Saeng Kindergarten project in Thailand. The firm has also been recognized with several accolades, including the Bauwelt International Prize: First Works 2015 (Germany), Arquia Próxima (2014, 2018, 2022), AJAC Awards (IX, XI, XII), and Europan17. In 2016, Pau Sarquella was nominated for the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative. He co-founded Persiana Barcelona in 2014, which revamped the traditional shutter and won the Delta de Plata (ADI FAD) and Arquia Próxima award in 2016. Together, Pau and Carmen have curated exhibitions like the Premis d’Arquitectura de les Comarques de Girona and El Millor Disseny de l’Any (2019-2021).
