Sarah Pidgeon’s 2026 Met Gala Look: Loewe’s Chartreuse Twist on ’90s Minimalism

Sarah Pidgeon wore a custom Loewe creation to the 2026 Met Gala, a chartreuse matte satin bandeau top and column skirt inspired by Look 43 from the brand’s fall 2026 show. The look was designed by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, who took the 'Fashion Is Art' dress code literally. Pidgeon, currently filming in Australia, had a Loewe tailor flown from Paris to Queensland for a toile fitting. The design nods to the 'Costume Art' exhibition and reflects Loewe’s ties to fine arts, including the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize and collaborations with artists like Ellsworth Kelly and Cosima von Bonin. This is Pidgeon’s second Met Gala; she attended the 2024 event in a Christopher John Rogers dress while starring in Stereophonic on Broadway.
