Sarah Munro Appointed Director of Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art

Starting in November, Sarah Munro will step in as the new director of the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, taking over from Geoffrey Worsdale. With two decades of experience in the arts, she previously worked as the artistic director at Tramway in Glasgow and led the city's arts initiatives. During her time there, Munro oversaw the Glasgow International Festival, organized temporary exhibitions at the Gallery of Modern Art, and contributed to the Merchant City Festival. She played a key role in launching Generation, a notable exhibition series in 2014 that celebrated 25 years of contemporary art in Scotland, featuring over 60 venues and notable artists such as Richard Wright, Simon Starling, and Cathy Wilkes.
