Sarah McCrory Appointed Director of Goldsmiths College's New Gallery, Designed by Assemble

Sarah McCrory has been appointed to oversee the new contemporary art gallery at Goldsmiths College, which is expected to launch in spring 2018. The gallery will occupy a transformed space of 1,000 sq. m, created from a former public baths and Victorian water tanks, with design by the Turner Prize-winning group Assemble. McCrory previously organized the Glasgow International festivals in 2014 and 2016, co-founded the nonprofit Open School East, and was part of the selection committee for the British Pavilion at the 2017 Venice Biennale. Goldsmiths College, known for its focus on arts and humanities, is part of the University of London and counts notable artists like Liam Gillick and Damien Hirst among its alumni.
