Sarah Cosulich appointed artistic director of Rome's Quadriennale
La Quadriennale di Roma has appointed Sarah Cosulich as its new artistic director, with the institution set to launch in 2020. This decision was made after interviews conducted by President Franco Bernabè and his team. Out of 116 submissions, Cosulich's proposal stood out for its focus on international outreach, aiming to keep the Quadriennale operational throughout the year while prioritizing the production, research, and distribution of artworks. She intends to establish a network to enhance the global visibility of Italian artists. Cosulich will assume her role in January 2018, with her strategy designed to ensure Italian artists receive proper recognition by the 2020 exhibition. The comprehensive project will be unveiled by spring 2018. Previously, Cosulich directed Artissima and has extensive experience in various galleries and institutions.
