Sarah Al Mehairi and Mandy El-Sayegh Exhibit at The Arts Club Dubai's Stairway Series

The Arts Club Dubai is hosting concurrent exhibitions featuring Sarah Al Mehairi and Mandy El-Sayegh as part of its Stairway Exhibition series. Curated by Amelie von Wedel and Pernilla Holmes from Wedel Art, the exhibitions are displayed across two levels at the club’s DIFC venue. Al Mehairi’s exhibition, titled I Construct What I Want to Disrupt: Misaligned Enjambements, showcases three large paintings that delve into architectural abstraction, integrating geometric shapes while addressing themes of memory, identity, and construction, with some pieces revealing the wall behind. El-Sayegh’s exhibit, Burning Square, utilizes various materials such as newsprint and anatomical drawings to explore cultural and political narratives. Both exhibitions will be available until October. Established in London in 1863, The Arts Club opened its Dubai location in 2020, spanning 6000 square meters, and aims to encourage dialogue between local and international artists. Past participants in the Stairway Exhibition series include Huguette Caland, Akram Zaatari, and El Anatsui.
