São Paulo's Casa de Cultura do Parque presents 'O horror, o humor e o absurdo' group exhibition

From March 28 to June 28, 2026, the Casa de Cultura do Parque in São Paulo will host the group exhibition titled 'O horror, o humor e o absurdo,' curated by José Augusto Ribeiro. The lineup of artists includes Darks Miranda, Flávia Metzler, Ivan Cardoso, and Yuli Yamagata, each contributing unique perspectives through films, paintings, and sculptures. Ivan Cardoso, known as the 'master of terrir,' draws on diverse cinematic inspirations. Darks Miranda's 2022 video features edits of Cold War science fiction. Flávia Metzler incorporates fragments from art history in her paintings, while Yuli Yamagata delves into themes of horror cinema and industrial processes. The exhibition also features solo presentations by Andrea Brazil and Felipe Rezende, with a performance by Maria Noujaim kicking off the event on March 28, 2026. The initiative is supported by Lei Rouanet and various sponsors.
