architecture-design · 2026-04-23

Running from September 10 to December 8, 2019, the 12th International Architecture Biennial of São Paulo, named 'Todo Dia' (Every Day), is curated by Vanessa Grossman, Ciro Miguel, and Charlotte Malterre-Barthes. This edition marks the first time curators were chosen through a public competition organized by the Instituto dos Arquitetos do Brasil (IAB-SP). The biennial showcases two exhibitions at CCSP and Sesc 24 de Maio, featuring 74 works selected from 710 submissions, along with ten commissioned installations. The event revolves around three key themes: 'relatos do cotidiano,' 'materiais do dia a dia,' and 'manutenções diárias.' IAB-SP president Fernando Túlio highlighted the importance of focusing on vulnerable populations in urban development.
