Sans-Arc Studio Designs Gelato Messina Glenelg as Social Interior

Sans-Arc Studio has completed the Gelato Messina Glenelg shop in Glenelg, Australia, reimagining the gelato shop as a social interior shaped by nostalgia and collective memory. The 138 m² project, completed in 2025, uses boldness as an architectural strategy to translate the simple pleasure of gelato into a public, generous spatial experience. Curated by Miwa Negoro, the design avoids conventional hospitality fit-out, instead focusing on the rituals of summer.
