Sanlorenzo Arts Debuts with 'WAVES' Exhibition at Casa Sanlorenzo in Venice
Sanlorenzo Yacht has launched Sanlorenzo Arts, a new cultural initiative, with its inaugural exhibition 'WAVES' at Casa Sanlorenzo in Venice. Located at Punta della Dogana, near the Collezione Guggenheim and Fondazione Pinault, the show explores the concept of the wave as a force traversing nature, technology, perception, and memory. Curated by Sergio Risaliti and Cristiano Seganfreddo with scientific input from astrophysicist Ersilia Vaudo, 'WAVES' features historical works by Alexander Calder, Lucio Fontana, and Fausto Melotti alongside contemporary pieces by Tony Cragg, Christine Safa, Marcello Maloberti, and Friedrich Andreoni. The exhibition integrates the architecture of Casa Sanlorenzo, restored by architect and designer Piero Lissoni, who added a transparent staircase. Friedrich Andreoni contributes a sound installation in the garden, and Xerjoff provides an olfactory dimension. Sanlorenzo Arts aims to be a permanent cultural laboratory in Venice, with future participation in Venice Climate Week (June 3–8) and Homo Faber in città (September 1–30). Executive Chairman Massimo Perotti oversees Sanlorenzo Yacht, Sanlorenzo Arts, and Fondazione Sanlorenzo. A project by photographer Roselena Ramistella is scheduled for November 12–24, 2026.
