San Patrignano's Contemporary Art Collection Debuts at Triennale Milano

exhibition · 2026-05-05

So, there’s this art collection that just got launched at Triennale Milano by the Fondazione San Patrignano, which was started back in 1978 by Vincenzo Muccioli. The collection came from a donation by Carlo Traglio and includes works from artists like Julian Schnabel and Enzo Cucchi, among others. It’s meant to support programs for youth dealing with addiction, inspired by the Anglo-Saxon model. Letizia Moratti, who co-founded the foundation with Clarice Pecori Giraldi, wants to elevate its cultural impact. Since 2019, Rimini’s mayor, Andrea Gnassi, has made Palazzo dell'Arengo and Palazzo del Podestà its permanent home, with renovations by Luca Cipelletti. The collection also features artists like William Kentridge and Michelangelo Pistoletto, aiming to shift Rimini's image towards a cultural hub.
