On November 12, 2020, Samsung inaugurated Missing Masterpieces, a virtual exhibition of 12 lost artworks by Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Claude Monet, and others. The show is accessible via Samsung's website and The Frame TV's Art Mode. Curated with art crime expert Noah Charney, founder of the Association for Research into Crimes Against Art (ARCA), the exhibition aims to recover the stolen pieces by engaging the public. Viewers are encouraged to share tips on Instagram using @samsungitalia and #MissingMasterpieces. The featured works include Van Gogh's Garden of the Parsonage at Nuenen in Spring, Portrait of Dr. Gachet, and The Painter on the Road to Tarascon; Jean Baptiste Oudry's White Duck; Cézanne's View of Auvers-sur-Oise; William Blake's The Last Judgment; David Teniers the Younger's Summer; Monet's Charing Cross Bridge and Waterloo Bridge; József Lampérth Nemes's Landscape; Jacob Jordaens's Mythological Scene with a Young Bacchus; and Barbora Kyslikova's Chloe & Emma. Charney noted that technology and social media can help crowdsource clues, as online tips have previously solved cases.
