Samia Henni's Psychocolonial Spaces – Act 1 at Ar/Ge Kunst

Samia Henni presents 'Psychocolonial Spaces – Act 1' at Ar/Ge Kunst in Bolzano from 24 May to 2 August 2025. The project explores borders, territories, and inhabited spaces through Frantz Fanon's analysis of colonial psychology. Henni's 2024 article 'On Frantz Fanon and the Manichean World' in Mousse highlights Fanon's relevance to today's colonial world order. The project is the first of a series and examines invisible spaces of segregation in Bolzano, including colonial traces and monuments. Students and professionals contributed to the filmic installation, which uses audio, texts, drawings, and videos. Henni is a writer, historian, and exhibition maker focusing on built and destroyed environments. The project is supported by Pro Helvetia.
