Salone del Mobile Milano Award 2016 Winners Announced
On June 7, 2016, the Salone del Mobile Milano Award was launched to celebrate innovative design, with its first winners announced about six weeks after the furniture fair in Rho. The award aims to highlight exceptional projects and elevate the prestige of the Salone. The winners in seven categories were: Best Seat for the All Plastic Chair by Jasper Morrison for Vitra, Best Furnishing System for Commodore by Piero Lissoni for Glas Italia, Best Kitchen Product for Air by Daniele Lago for Lago, Best Bathroom Product for Origami by Alberto Meda for Tubes Radiatori, Best Installation for Kartell, Best Young Designer for Giacomo Moor, and Best Designer for Konstantin Grcic. Cristina Celestino received a special jury award for her ability to blend delicacy and elegance in her designs, as decided by a panel including Silvana Annicchiarico and others.
