Salone del Mobile Milano 2021 Confirmed for September 5-10

The 59th edition of Salone del Mobile Milano will take place from September 5 to 10, 2021, at FieraMilano Rho, after internal disputes threatened its cancellation. The event, which skipped 2020, will be a "phygital" edition combining physical and digital experiences, featuring thematic exhibitions and a new digital platform. Internal conflicts were resolved following the resignation of president Claudio Luti and an appeal by Milan mayor Beppe Sala, who confirmed that Italian President Sergio Mattarella will attend the inauguration. The fair will be directed by an internationally renowned curator, rumored to be Stefano Boeri, president of Triennale di Milano. FederlegnoArredo president Claudio Feltrin emphasized the event's role as a showcase for Italian design excellence. The edition will highlight innovations and products from the past 18 months.
