Salone del Mobile 2026 draws record 316,342 visitors, confirms global leadership
The 64th edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano attracted 316,342 visitors from 167 countries, a 4.5% increase from 2025, with 68% of professional attendees being international. The fair hosted 1,900 brands from 32 countries, including International Bathroom Exhibition, EuroCucina, and FTK – Technology For the Kitchen. International attendance saw notable growth: China led foreign visitors, Germany +5.1%, Spain +8.7%, USA +8.8%, UK +10.4%, Canada +28%, and Mexico +15%. A new cultural platform, Salone Raritas curated by Annalisa Rosso, featured 28 galleries from 12 countries. Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten / OMA presented the masterplan for Salone Contract 2027, targeting a global market valued at €68 billion. Strategic alliances included collaborations with Expo Osaka 2025, Art Basel in Miami Beach and Hong Kong, B2B missions in India, USA, Canada, and China, and a first spin-off in Saudi Arabia. The event was named Ambassador of Italian Design in the World. SaloneSatellite hosted 8,057 Italian students, 6,361 international students, and 700 designers under 35 from 39 countries. Common Archive – La Notte Bianca del Progetto engaged 19 institutions with over 50 guided tours and access to 150 historical collections. The fair also drew 6,039 journalists and media, including 2,828 from abroad.
