Salon Zürcher Showcases Seven Downtown and Brooklyn Galleries in New York
On February 28, 2011, Studio Zürcher launched Salon Zürcher at its location on Bleecker Street in New York City. This initiative transformed the gallery into a showcase for seven galleries, including Studio Zürcher itself. Running through March 6, the event features booths made from sturdy temporary walls to simulate an art fair experience ahead of Armory Week. Guest galleries from Williamsburg and the Lower East Side include Feature, Inc., The Journal Gallery, Stephan Stoyanov Gallery, the Proposition, Parker’s Box, and Audio Visual Arts. Founded by Bernard and Gwenolee Zürcher, the salon aims to highlight indie dealers. The opening reception was held from 5-8 PM at 33 Bleecker Street, with inquiries made to 212 777 0790.
