Salma Hayek Pinault, Alfonso Cuarón, and Alejandro González Iñárritu to Co-Host Serpentine Summer Party
The Serpentine Summer Party, a fixture in the London art calendar, will be co-hosted by Mexican actress Salma Hayek Pinault and celebrated Mexican filmmakers Alfonso Cuarón and Alejandro González Iñárritu on 23 June. The invite-only fundraiser celebrates the Serpentine pavilion, this year titled 'a serpentine' and designed by Mexico City-based architecture firm Lanza Atelier. Hayek Pinault, who starred in and produced the 2002 Frida biopic, expressed her honor in participating, noting a dialogue with Frida Escobedo's 2018 pavilion. Cuarón directed Gravity (2013) and Roma (2018), while Iñárritu directed Birdman (2014) and The Revenant (2015). Last year, Cate Blanchett co-hosted the event.
