Sakshi Gallery Celebrates 40 Years with Major Exhibition at Travancore Palace
Sakshi Gallery, established in 1986 by Geetha Mehra, is marking its 40th anniversary with a lineup of exciting events, including a major exhibition titled 'Of Being and Becoming.' This exhibition is scheduled for September 2026 at the historic Travancore Palace in New Delhi and will be curated by Manan Shah. It will showcase the works of over 50 artists from different generations, featuring well-known names like Vivan Sundaram, Gulam Mohammed Sheikh, Nalini Malani, and others. The exhibition will also present installations that respond to the venue, delving into the evolution of artistic expression. The anniversary celebrations kicked off in January with the Mumbai Gallery Weekend and included a presentation at the Mall Galleries in London in June, with more events planned in Vadodara, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
