Saikindō: Hidden Japanese Hi-Fi Bar Disguised as Fashion Atelier Opens in Abu Dhabi
Saikindō, a hidden hi-fi bar from Japan, has launched within the Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi, cleverly camouflaged as a fashion studio. Aimed at the after-work patrons of Al Maryah Island, it boasts analogue audio, the aroma of yakitori, and the flair of Bōsōzoku motorcycle culture. The venue, crafted by AvroKO, draws inspiration from Japan's 1960s Metabolism movement and the art of vintage speaker design. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by embroidered sukajan jackets before stepping into a lounge featuring wooden speaker sculptures and a prominent DJ booth. Beverage director Marco Corallo and head mixologist Ann Pinsuda have curated a cocktail selection named Aji No Hibiki, highlighting drinks like Big Poppa and Like Sugar. Chef Slamet Wahyudi offers culinary delights such as A5 wagyu tartare and lobster negima. Saikindō is situated on Abu Dhabi Global Market Street.
