Saher Nassar Explores Soldier as Symbol in Zawyeh Gallery Show

Zawyeh Gallery presents 'The Front Side Strikes The Most', an exhibition of works by Saher Nassar curated by Giuseppe Moscatello, running from 28 September to 30 December 2023. The show examines the soldier as a visible symbol of power within larger power structures, focusing on the psychological and moral dimensions of military service. Nassar adopts an observational, neutral stance, avoiding judgment or apology while occasionally employing irony. The works probe the motivations and moral compass of soldiers, who universally believe they are on the 'right' side of history, challenging viewers to reconsider conventional dichotomies of right and wrong.
