Russia Damages Over 4,500 Ukrainian Cultural Sites

According to a statement from Ukraine's Ministry of Culture, as of July 31, Russian missile strikes have resulted in damage or destruction to 4,515 cultural locations in Ukraine. This figure encompasses 1,990 cultural heritage sites and 2,625 cultural infrastructure facilities. The impacted sites include 196 institutions for arts education, 141 museums and galleries, as well as historic locations listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The assaults have affected cultural establishments across 24% of Ukraine's territories and nearly half of the community cultural centers in the nation. The ongoing Russian offensive has led to considerable harm to Ukraine's cultural heritage, affecting both its tangible and intangible assets.
