Rumori – Radiodrammi 2.0: Sound Art from Quarantine

digital · 2026-04-27

Martina Badiluzzi, both a director and actress, has introduced 'Rumori – Radiodrammi 2.0', an artistic venture inspired by the sounds encountered during quarantine. This project includes four audio narratives authored by Badiluzzi, released monthly, featuring performances by professional actors, soundscapes created by Samuele Cestola, and visuals by Alessandra Bianchi. The inaugural chapter, 'Elettrostatica', showcases Federica Rosellini. Originally intended as a series of short stories, it transformed into a multimedia piece with personified sounds as central characters. Badiluzzi creatively named her neighbors after various noises, imagining a blonde figure akin to Elfriede Jelinek for 'Elettrostatica'. Cestola is also composing music for Badiluzzi's forthcoming production, 'The Making of Anastasia', set to premiere in mid-September. Badiluzzi has expressed her discontent with the Italian government's disregard for performing arts professionals. This interview was conducted by Margherita Bordino for Artribune.
