Rubin Center Names Andres Payan Estrada as Director and Chief Curator

Andres Payan Estrada has been appointed as the new Director and Chief Curator of the Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts, following the retirement of Kerry Doyle in April 2026. Previously, Estrada served as Senior Curator at the Rubin Center, having begun his journey as a gallery intern in 2008. He holds a BFA from The University of Texas at El Paso and an MFA from California Institute of the Arts. The Rubin Center's upcoming fall exhibition, "Costuras Territoriales," will showcase works from artists including Margarita Cabrera and Teresa Margolles, while a future partnership with Craft Contemporary will feature the exhibition "tierra" in 2027.
