Rubén Guerrero featured in MAS Meadows/ARCO at Dallas Meadows Museum

The Meadows Museum in Dallas, Texas, is hosting an exhibition of works by Seville-born artist Rubén Guerrero through June 21, as part of the MAS: Meadows/ARCO Artist Spotlight program. This biennial initiative selects a Spanish artist with a substantial career to promote their work in the United States. Guerrero is the third participant, following Ignasi Aballí and Teresa Lanceta. The program was created in 2019 by the Meadows Museum and the ARCO Foundation, initially planned for six years. In 2025, both institutions extended their cooperation agreement for three additional editions (2028, 2030, and 2032), with support from Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The exhibition is curated by Patricia Manzano, a curator at the Meadows Museum. It coincides with another Guerrero show titled "Suupergráfico," which ran until April 26 at the Centro José Guerrero in Granada. In Dallas, Guerrero presents four large-format works, not specifically created for this exhibition but chosen to represent his interests in the "constant conflict between image and painting, as well as the perpetual tension between abstraction and figuration."
