Rubbettino opens Carta, a contemporary art park in Calabria
Italian publisher Rubbettino has inaugurated Carta, a 12,500-square-meter corporate park in Soveria Mannelli, Calabria, that integrates contemporary art with nature. The park, launched during the Sciabaca Festival, marks the publisher's 50th anniversary under the motto '50 years of free ideas.' The name 'Carta' references the material link between plant life and paper production. The art program, directed by rotating curators, begins with works by Rachele Maistrello (Time Cutouts) and Stefan Alber (Control Beam), curated by Alessandro Fonte and Shawnette Poe. The park will host ongoing artist residencies and interventions.
