Ruba Katrib Joins MoMA PS1 as Curator After SculptureCenter Tenure

Ruba Katrib has accepted a curatorial role at MoMA PS1 in New York. Previously, she was at SculptureCenter in Long Island City, where she worked from 2012, organizing solo exhibitions for artists such as Cosima von Bonin, Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook, Jumana Manna, Anthea Hamilton, and Michael E. Smith, along with the Cercle d’Art des Travailleurs de Plantation Congolaise (CATPC). Under her guidance, notable group exhibitions included The Eccentrics (2016) and Puddle, pothole, portal (with Camille Henrot, 2014). She co-organized the public art exhibition Visitors on Governors Island in 2015 with Tom Eccles. Prior to SculptureCenter, Katrib was an associated curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Miami. She graduated from CCS Bard in 2007 and co-founded ThreeWalls in Chicago in 2003. At MoMA PS1, she will work alongside chief curator Peter Eleey.
