Roy Lichtenstein in the Studio: Dallas Museums Joint Exhibition
"Roy Lichtenstein in the Studio" is a special exhibit celebrating the artist's centenary, hosted by both the Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center. The talks about this collection started back in 2017, highlighting Dallas as a pivotal spot for exploring Lichtenstein's sculptures in the U.S. The showcase spotlights his iconic pieces like the Brushstroke series and earlier works such as King (1951). Curated by Dr. Catherine Craft, Ade Omotosho, and Dr. Emily Friedman, the exhibit runs until July 5, 2026, at DMA and August 16, 2026, at Nasher. There will also be a Study Day on March 28, 2025, featuring a talk by artist Alex Da Corte.
