Roukiata Ouedraogo's 'Black Tax' tackles immigration in new one-person show
Comedian and humorist Roukiata Ouedraogo returns to the Paris stage with 'Black Tax', a new solo show following the success of her previous work 'Je demande la route'. The performance, which runs at Studio Raspail every Friday and Saturday until June 27, 2026, explores themes of Africa, diaspora, and migration. Ouedraogo, also a columnist and storyteller for press and radio, uses her sharp writing to revive the character Tonton Théophraste, made famous by her chronicles on France Inter. She was a guest of Nathalie Amar on RFI to discuss the show. The production is by MAAND-BA PRODUCTIONS.
