Rosewood Debuts at Milan Design Week with Andrea Branzi Tribute

exhibition · 2026-04-24

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts makes its Milan Design Week debut with 'Objects that Speak: A Conversation Continued with Andrea Branzi', an installation curated by Deyan Sudjic. The exhibition, open until 25 April at Via Carlo de Cristoforis 1, centers on 15 monumental lamps by the late Andrea Branzi, made from Japanese rice paper and Belgian bluestone. Two of Branzi's wall paintings are shown publicly for the first time. Branzi, a leading figure of Italy's Radical Design movement, questioned mass production's tyranny. The show also features works by nine contemporary artists and designers commissioned for Rosewood properties, including Maarten Baas, Jaime Hayon, and Marc Quinn. Sudjic notes the contrast between Milan's Design Week frenzy and the installation's calm. The project traces Rosewood's evolving relationship with design.
