Roni Horn's Drawings on View at Raffaella Cortese in Milan

An extensive showcase of Roni Horn, an American artist born in 1955 in New York, is currently being held at Galleria Raffaella Cortese in Milan. This exhibition features drawings and works on paper from four series produced between 2016 and 2023, many of which have not been previously exhibited in Italy. The series displayed are Slarips, Frick and Fracks, Wits' End Mash, and An Elusive Red Figure. Horn considers drawing essential to her exploration of language and identity. The exhibit also includes an interview with Raffaella Cortese, who has represented Horn since 1997, discussing their mutual interests, the challenges faced as an outsider in Milan, and her experiences as a female gallerist over the past thirty years.
