Ronan Day-Lewis directs father Daniel in debut feature 'Anemone'

Ronan Day-Lewis makes his debut as a feature film director with 'Anemone', which also signifies his father, Daniel Day-Lewis's, return to the screen after an eight-year break. The film is set to premiere at Alice nella Città in Italy and will be released in theaters on November 6 by Universal Pictures. Daniel, who co-wrote the screenplay, portrays Ray Stoker, a man in self-imposed exile in northern England. His estranged brother, Jem, played by Sean Bean, searches for him during a family crisis. Themes of brotherhood, fatherhood, refuge, resentment, and redemption are central to the narrative. The film, featuring cinematography by Ben Fordesman, also includes performances from Samantha Morton and Samuel Bottomley.
