Ron Mueck's First French Exhibition at Fondation Cartier

Ron Mueck, an Australian artist based in England, will have his first exhibition in France at the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain in Paris, running from November 19, 2005, to February 19, 2006. Simultaneously, his work 'Big Man' is on view at the Grand Palais as part of the 'Mélancolie' exhibition. The Fondation Cartier show is curated by Jean Clair, who also curated 'Mélancolie'. Clair was invited to discuss Mueck, whom he describes as one of the most atypical artists today. The exhibition marks a significant moment for Mueck's recognition in France.
