RomeVideoGameLab 2024: New Venue, Showcase, and 5 Curious Indie Games

The 2024 edition of RomeVideoGameLab, held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, introduced a new showcase area for small studios, especially Italian ones, allowing visitors to try upcoming games and speak with developers. Among the featured titles are Slackers – Carts of Glory (a shopping cart racing game by Falling Saints), Sunset: Broken Embers (a survival shooter by 906 Games), The Crazy Hyper – Dungeon Chronicles (a dungeon crawler by 3×1010), Umbral Core (a fighting game by A Few Rounds Games), and GladiEATers (a cooking combat game by MilkBubblesGames). The festival also hosted a participatory performance, Toxic Garden – Dance Dance Dance by Kamilia Kard, within Roblox. Fondazione Musica per Roma joined as producer, and the event maintained its focus on videogames as a cultural industry, with school meetings and professional talks rather than commercial stands.
