Romeo Castellucci and Scott Gibbons present the world premiere of 'To Carthage Then I Came' at Kunstenfestival 2026, from May 21 to 24 at the Panorama Parking in Brussels. The performance features a procession of performers repeating gestures that generate sound, blending punk rebellion with ancestral prayer. The work is conceived in dialogue with the unique conical-roofed building, where performers' gestures resonate with the architecture, leading to a polyphonic crescendo. Castellucci collaborates with long-time sound collaborator Scott Gibbons, creating a piece at the crossroads of theatre and concert, probing the boundary between individual presence and belonging to a larger mechanism.
