Rome's historic Litografia R. Bulla launches new projects with street-facing exhibitions
Established in 1818 by François Bulla in Paris, the renowned Litografia R. Bulla relocated to Rome in 1840, where it took residence in an 18th-century palazzo on Via del Vantaggio, close to Piazza del Popolo. This family-run business has been passed down through four generations and is currently managed by siblings Romolo and Rosalba Bulla, along with Flaminia and Beatrice. The workshop has partnered with prominent artists such as Toti Scialoja, Mario Schifano, and Dennis Hopper. In 2018, an exhibition curated by Claudio Zambianchi at Palazzo Poli celebrated the workshop's 200-year history. The first exhibition of the siblings' renewed tradition, "Qualquadra non cosa," features artists Guglielmo Maggini and Delfina Scarpa from December 13, 2020, to January 6, 2021.
