Rome's Ex-Mattatoio Transforms into City of Arts by 2028
The Città delle Arti is currently under construction at the Ex-Mattatoio di Testaccio in Rome, with completion expected by 2028. Starting in spring 2024, renovations will concentrate on pavilions 14, 15b, 15c, 16, 24, and 25, which Roma Tre University will occupy for two decades, as established by a resolution in 2022. The site, envisioned by designer Gioacchino Ersoch, aims to function as a hub for arts and education.
