Rome's Autumn 2017: Five Must-See Cinema and Theatre Events
Autumn 2017 in Rome showcases a vibrant array of five interdisciplinary festivals. The Romaeuropa Festival runs from September 20 to December 2, featuring more than 300 artists and 80 projects, with notable performances such as Sasha Waltz's Kreatur on September 20 and Rimini Protokoll's Nachlass from September 21 to 23. The Live Cinema Festival at MACRO takes place from September 21 to 24, highlighting Ash Koosha and Klaus Obermaier's Faceless on September 24. Additionally, the Teatri di Vetro Festival spans from September 21 to November 12, presenting over 40 performances. The Magic Lantern Film Festival at Cinema dei Piccoli is scheduled for September 26-28, showcasing works by John Baldessari and others. Finally, the virtual reality film Giant by Milica Zec and Winslow Turner Porter III will be screened at MAXXI from October 6 to 8.
