Rome Launches Major Book and Literature Event 'Insieme' for October 2020
From October 1 to 4, 2020, Rome will host Insieme – lettori, autori, editori, described as "the largest event of the year dedicated to books and reading." This event merges three significant initiatives: Libri Come, Letterature Festival, and Più Libri Più Liberi. Various cultural locations, such as the Auditorium Parco della Musica and archaeological sites, have been selected to facilitate social distancing. Approximately 200 publishers will take part, offering meetings with both Italian and international authors, available in person and via streaming. An editorial committee, including Silvia Barbagallo, has curated the program. Organized by AIE and Istituzione Biblioteche di Roma, among others, it seeks to rejuvenate the publishing industry following Covid-19. Deputy Mayor Luca Bergamo praised it as "a unique event for Rome."
