festival-fair · 2026-04-27

The 18th Festa del Cinema di Roma is taking place from October 18 to 29, 2023, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone and various locations across Rome. This event, officially sanctioned by FIAPF as a competitive festival, includes the international competition Progressive Cinema – Visioni per il mondo di domani. Although attendance has been impacted by the Hollywood strike, Italian cinema is highlighted with four films and series, such as Ferzan Ozpetek's Nuovo Olimpo and the latest Diabolik from the Manetti brothers. Competing Italian films are C’è ancora un domani, Mi fanno male i capelli, and Holiday. Additionally, art-focused films like À la recherche and Fela, il mio Dio will be showcased. Career honors will be awarded to Isabella Rossellini and Shigeru Umebayashi.
