Rome Architecture Studio IT’S Opens Hub Call for New Businesses
The integrated architecture firm IT’S, founded in 2016 by Alessandro Cambi, Francesco Marinelli, and Paolo Mezzaluna, has launched a call for new entrepreneurial ventures to occupy part of its hub at Via Pettinengo 72 in Rome. The initiative aims to foster an innovative, hybrid ecosystem in the capital by sharing knowledge and projects. Approximately 60 square meters of space are available, along with meeting rooms and common areas. Candidates can apply by sending their profile to the studio. IT’S has offices in Rome, Paris, and Geneva, and pursues a multidisciplinary approach blending architecture with other disciplines through podcasts and events. Key projects include the redevelopment of Piazza dei Cinquecento and Termini Station’s external spaces in Rome, the recovery of the former architecture school at Nanterre’s Pole Leonard de Vinci campus in Paris, the former INPS headquarters on Via dell’Amba Aradam in Rome, the new MSA headquarters in Bordeaux, an experimental housing building at EUR in Rome, and the new FOROF contemporary art center by Giovanna Caruso Fendi in Rome. In a 2023 interview on Artribune, the founders described their reinterpretation of public space as 'environmental,' focusing on the valorization of soil and unbuilt urban space, particularly in Rome’s low-density, high-open-land context, which they see as an opportunity for private investment.
