Romaeuropa Festival 2025: 40th Edition Program Unveiled
The 40th edition of the Romaeuropa Festival (REF) is set to take place in Rome from September 4 to November 16, 2025. Announced by President Guido Fabiani and artistic director Fabrizio Grifasi, the festival will showcase a diverse lineup of both international and Italian talent across dance, theater, and music. The opening act will feature 'Afanador' by Marcos Morau, performed by the Ballet Nacional de España. Notable dance performances will include those by the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, Ballet National de Marseille, as well as artists Qudus Onikeku and Christos Papadopoulos. Additionally, choreographers Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Akram Khan will contribute. The theater segment will highlight works by Mohamed El Khatib and Rabih Mroué, while the music lineup will present Laurie Anderson, Alessandro Baricco, and a tribute to Luciano Berio, concluding with Kruder & Dorfmeister.
