institutional · 2026-04-26

ACoS, the agency that controls local public services in Rome, has published an analysis of the trend of cultural services in the city's 15 municipalities from 2019 to 2024. This study is the first detailed mapping of municipal cultural activities, including information on cultural centers and libraries. A 15% increase in events is expected compared to 2023 and 88% compared to 2019. The average duration of events has increased from 1.3 days in 2019 to 2.1 in 2024. Events remain mostly in the central municipalities, except for the IX. In 2024, there are 29 active cultural centers, with the VIII municipality leading. 8 new spaces will open soon, including the Ex Campari Center.
