Rodin Centenary Conference and Exhibition at Grand Palais
On March 22-23, 2017, the Grand Palais in Paris was the venue for the national conference titled "Rodin: l'onde de choc." Chaired by Catherine Chevillot, the event was organized by the scientific committee of the Musée Rodin in partnership with the Réunion des musées nationaux, the École du Louvre, and the Société des Amis du musée Rodin. Twenty researchers from different nations explored Rodin's influence on 19th- and 20th-century aesthetics, highlighting his interactions with intellectuals and his impact on modern artists such as Brancusi and Robert Morris. Additionally, the exhibition "Rodin, l'exposition du centenaire" commenced on March 21 and will continue until July 31, 2017, showcasing 200 works by Rodin alongside 150 pieces from other artists.
