Rodari's anti-war nursery rhyme goes viral amid Ukraine conflict

A 1955 poem by Gianni Rodari, 'La luna di Kiev', has gone viral since Russia's invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The verse, from the collection 'Filastrocche in cielo e in terra', promotes peace and brotherhood. Publisher Einaudi Ragazzi, under the direction of Orietta Fatucci, decided to reissue it as an illustrated book on April 12, 2022, with illustrations by Beatrice Alemagna. All proceeds will be donated to the Italian Red Cross for the Ukraine emergency. The book is published by Edizioni EL (San Dorligo della Valle) and costs €8.
