ROBOTICS Festival in Trieste Launches Open Call for Under-25 Artists

The first edition of the ROBOTICS festival, dedicated to art and robotics, will take place in Trieste from November 17 to 28, 2018, at the Centrale Idrodinamica in Porto Vecchio. The theme is Digital Nature, exploring the co-evolution of nature and technology. An open call invites artists, creatives, and makers under 25 to submit original works. The selected project will receive €2,000 and be exhibited in a group show curated by Maria Campitelli and Valentino Catricalà, alongside international artists including Bill Vorn, Patrick Tresset, Ken Rinaldo, and France Cadet. Eligible media include robotics, virtual reality, augmented reality, network projects, telepresence, interactive events, innovative interfaces, hardware and software, apps, 3D printing, laser cutting, and other new media art forms. The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2018.
