Robilant+Voena Opens New Milan Gallery on Via della Spiga

Robilant+Voena, the gallery with locations in London, Milan, New York, and Paris, is opening a new space in Milan's luxury shopping district, Via della Spiga. The inaugural exhibition on November 20 will be a solo show by American multimedia artist Jordan Watson (born 1979 in Jamaica, Queens, NYC). The gallery moves from Via Fontana to a historic building where it occupies a mezzanine-level space that has undergone partial restoration. Via della Spiga is part of the Quadrilatero della Moda, one of the world's most prestigious high-fashion shopping areas. The gallery was founded in 2004 in London by Edmondo di Robilant and Marco Voena, with subsequent openings in Milan (2009), Paris and New York (2020). Robilant+Voena is known for specializing in Old Master paintings and post-war Italian art, while also maintaining a contemporary program focused on artists who engage with artistic heritage. Jordan Watson, a self-taught visual artist and curator with a background in finance and the music industry, presents works across four rooms that blend Milan's elegant identity with themes of unity and joy ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics. Watson states his paintings celebrate Black culture, portraying luxury and pleasure as everyday realities rooted in the past and future.
