Roberto Ghezzi's Naturografie at Palazzo Graziani, Perugia
The exhibition 'Physis – I codici dell'invisibile' at Palazzo Graziani in Perugia, curated by Andrea Baffoni, presents Roberto Ghezzi's Naturografie. Ghezzi, born in Cortona in 1978, abandoned traditional painting to let nature create its own images. He places canvases in ecosystems such as forests, streams, and lakes, allowing wind, water, and earth to leave traces. After a period, he fixes the results with resin. The installation uses multiple light boxes to enhance the experience. Ghezzi's method differs from Land Art: he does not alter the environment but lets nature invade the canvas. The works explore the invisible dynamics of nature, creating a collaboration between artist and environment. Some installations were also placed in Iceland.
