Roberto Fassone's 'One of These Stories Is True' at Prato's Tessuti Urbani

The Tessuti Urbani project in Prato, initiated in November 2018 by artist Leonardo Meoni, revolves around the Cubo Project Space, a participatory installation in the Giardino di Via Curtatone. The cube, built by asylum-seeking youths during a workshop, serves as a platform for rotating artworks. From June 27 to September 1, 2019, artist Roberto Fassone presented 'Una di queste storie è vera' (One of These Stories Is True) at the Giardino Bastione delle Civette. The work emerged from a June workshop on lying, where participants invented false identities and stories. During a visit to the park, the group—including a greyhound breeder and a very tall man—shared plausible but fabricated tales about the location. Ten stories were selected, among which one was true: Margherita's account of the great dancer Adina Vladimirescu. The project aims to foster new connections within the city, involving local collaborators and transforming urban spaces.
